sweatmate is an app for finding people to do sports with. This page explains,
plainly, what data we process and why.

what we collect
- account: the identifier and email provided by Sign in with Apple
(you can use "Hide My Email"), the name you choose, and your date of birth
(used only to verify you are at least 18; the app is for adults only).
- profile (optional): photo, bio, city, gender, country, favourite
sports, instagram username. Visible to you and to other users of the app.
- activities: the activities you create or join ("i'm going"), and the
messages you write in activity group chats. The meeting point of an
activity you create is stored and shown to other users, since that's its
purpose.
- location: used only while you use the app, to show you the map and
nearby activities. Your own precise location is not stored on our servers
and is never shown to other users; if you enable "show distance", others
see a distance in kilometres only.
what we do NOT do
- no ads and no tracking across other companies' apps or websites;
- we never sell or share your data with third parties for their purposes;
- we do not record your routes or workouts (we are not a tracker).
where your data lives
Data is hosted on Supabase (AWS infrastructure, Ireland region, European
Union). Profile photos are stored on publicly readable storage (that is how
other users can see them).
legal basis and retention
We process your data to provide the service (performance of contract,
art. 6.1(b) GDPR). Data is kept while you have an account: if you delete it,
your account, your profile, and the activities you created are erased.
your rights
You can delete your account directly in the app (profile → settings →
delete account). For access, rectification, portability, or any question,
write to filippoterzi@aiutomazione.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection
authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will tell you in the app.
